YITS - Year in the Son
Welcome to Year in the Son Queensland. Year in the Son – otherwise known as YITS – is one of the only courses in the Sunshine State designed specifically for students wanting to do a gap year!
YITS in 100 words or less…
YITS is a one year program for 16-21 year olds, which gives you a nationally accredited Certificate IV in Youth Development. But it is more than just another course. YITS is like nothing else.
It’s a place of Learning
It’s a space for Growth
It’s a year of Faith Development
It’s an experience of Community
Year in the Son is a unique journey that will help launch you into life. So, if you’re a school leaver, or if you want to do something different from fulltime study or work for a year, take a Year in the Son and make your gap year count!
